How do I change themes?  Where are the settings?

All settings are handled in the FrontMotion Login Control Panel.  Under Windows XP, it is listed under Performance and Maintenance.

What version am I running?

There are several ways to get the current version number.

  • In the Control Panel, under Performance and Maintenance, Open the FrontMotion Login Control Panel. Look under the About tab which lists version information for various components.
  • Right click the mouse anywhere on the screen  during any themed screens, the version is displayed in the popup menu.
  • For Flash and content developers, it is available as the variable FMProductVersion. This variable contains the product name and version number in the form of "Product name (Version X.X.X.X)"

How do I use my create/use my own flash file for logins?

You will need to have Macromedia Flash MX or higher to create .swf theme files. The file will need to be named login.swf and put into a new directory in the C:\Program Files\FrontMotion Login\Themes folder. Here is more information on creating themes

Does FrontMotion Login use up a lot of memory and CPU cycles?

Flash files are dynamically loaded when they are displayed and unloaded when they are not shown. No extra memory and CPU cycles are used when you are using your applications.

How do I choose a different theme or change options?

In the Control Panel, under Performance and Maintenance, Open the FrontMotion Login Control Panel.

I changed the name of an account but FMLogin still displays the old name?

FMLogin and FMLoginTPE currently only display the 'account name' and not the 'display name'. This feature may be added in the future.
